The year 2010 will be the 50th birthday of Madagascar’s independence. As a matter of fact, it is now engulfed in its most precarious estate ever. The former colonial power’s legacy is still large, and its grip, still very fierce. The costly acquired freedom is being swallowed by pure dictatorship under France’s aiding and abetting look.
In 2009, neither republican institutions, nor government leaders, nor churches, nor the international community, nor the press, nor the population, let alone the armed forces had been able to save the nation from putsch and dictatorship
After one full year of crisis, a feeble ray of hope for Madagascar’s recovery of the wisdom path keeps on shining. At any rate, do receive all of our best wishes for happiness and prosperity.

A mediation of the SADC under the conduct of the Joachim Chissano seems to make the unanimity among the different political parties in Madagascar. After a favorable opinion from the delegation of Marc Ravalomanana, Andry Rajoelina declared to be also open to the dialogue while continuing his matter of fact governance.[See]
It is not yet the big news expected by the legalistic side, but it is a step forward. The SADC is going to hold an extraordinary Summit on Saturday June 20th to take a decision about Madagascar. President Ravalomanana expects an urgent action for the return to constitutional order in the country.[See]
